MARKET ANALYST

The Virginia Port Authority owns & operates, through an affiliated company, three marine terminals in Hampton Roads & the Virginia Inland Port in Front Royal, VA.  Information is on our website at www.portofvirginia.com.  The Business Analysis and Strategy department is looking for a Market Analyst who will gather and analyze market and statistical data, prepare reports on cargo movements, and respond to information requests.   

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or related field. Must be analytical and detail-oriented, and have knowledge of commonly used concepts and practices in researching, analyzing and preparing statistical information. Must communicate effectively both orally and in writing and be proficient in MS Office with an emphasis on Excel, Access. Knowledge of logistics management a plus.
