Working at the Port of Virginia

The Port of Virginia’s operation provides, directly and indirectly, about 343,000 jobs, or 9 percent of the state’s resident non-governmental workforce. Forty-nine employees work in the Virginia Port Authority’s main office at the World Trade Center in Norfolk, Virginia, and 98 sworn officers and staff work for the Port Police Department.
